A guaranteed original one sheet movie poster from 1983 for Bill Forsyth's wistful comedy, "Local Hero", starring Peter Riegert, Burt Lancaster, Fulton Mackay and Denis Lawson.

The film's soundtrack was written and performed by Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits. It features the song "Going Home", often performed as the encore of his concerts. A "Local Hero" stage musical has been developed with further music and lyrics by Knopfler.

As was common for the time, this poster was issued folded and has remained so. As our photos show, it will be frame and display superbly. Such a wonderful poster for a beautifully made film.

By the way, there is actually an asteroid (7345 Happer) named after Burt Lancaster's character 'Felix Happer'. If you haven't seen it, watch the film to understand why.
